Charles II Half Pint Pewter Tankard.

These traditional pewter tankards are made by hand in Sheffield by skilled craftsmen. Pewter is an alloy of Tin (90%+) antimony and copper and has been used for making drinking vessels since the time of the Pharaohs Pewter is a beautiful material which almost has a life of its own. In hand made pewter you can almost see a grain from the ancient moulds still used to form these tankards Pewter also ages wonderfully the bright shiny surface dulls down over the years into a soft warm grey.
